SEMCO was established in October 2025, when its investors acquired the manufacturing operations, team and build system of a modular manufacturer out of administration. The factory did not stop; the people did not change; the systems were rebuilt from the ground up.
The business is chaired by Stewart McIntyre and backed by investors with a record of building successful companies in the construction, manufacturing and environmental sectors, and of creating opportunities in cutting edge sectors. That experience shapes how SEMCO is run: our systems are founded on controlled growth and risk management, combined with a strong ambition to make an impact on the way the South East builds.
Management runs the business to a documented management system, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with a single system of record for every project.
We bring the whole process under one roof and one point of accountability. Buildings are designed for manufacture, produced in our factory at Newhaven and delivered to site ready to install, with technology and AI applied at every stage.
